Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

34. We have indeed sent down to you clear verses containing evident rulings, and examples of those who passed away before you [58], and admonitions for those who are mindful (of Allah).

[58] By clear commands are meant all those rulings that have been mentioned from the beginning of Surah An-Nur, such as the punishment for adultery and false accusation, the procedure of li'an, the commands and instructions to keep society free from obscenity, etc. And by mentioning the examples of previous people, it is meant that you may know what happened to those before you who disobeyed Allah's commands, and the fate of such nations has already been mentioned at several places before. Therefore, for those who fear Allah, there are many instructive lessons in these previous examples.
