Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
25. On that Day, Allah will give them the recompense [30] they truly deserve, and they will know that Allah alone is the Truth, the One who makes the truth manifest.
[30] The word "Deen" is used in four meanings: (1) The pure and complete sovereignty of Allah, (2) The pure and complete servitude of the servant, (3) The law of reward and punishment, and (4) The practical implementation of the law of reward and punishment. In this verse, "Deen" is used in the third and fourth meanings, as the Arabs say: "Kama tudeen tudan" (i.e., as you do, so shall you be repaid), meaning that on that day, the recompense which Allah will give to these criminals will be exactly according to the law of reward and punishment, which is mentioned in numerous places in the Quran. And every person will clearly know that the punishment being given to him is, in fact, exactly what he deserved according to Allah's law of justice.
