Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

95. And We are fully capable of showing you the punishment with which We threaten them [92].

[92] The beginning of such punishment upon the disbelievers of Makkah started with the Battle of Badr itself. And its conclusion was at the announcement of disassociation on the day of the Farewell Pilgrimage. According to this, not only the polytheists of Makkah but all the polytheists of Arabia were given a respite of four months, during which they could either accept Islam or vacate the Arabian Peninsula and leave from there. Otherwise, they would be fought against and completely eradicated. This was the punishment that was inflicted upon them during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and during the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, the polytheists were completely eliminated from the neighboring countries, and Islam prevailed.
