Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

8. And those who are faithful to their trusts and covenants [8].

[8] By trusts is meant every trust that has been entrusted to a person by Allah Almighty, by society, or by any individual. Whether this trust is related to plans, words, or wealth, it is necessary to fully safeguard all of them. The same applies to wealth, covenants, and agreements. Whether a covenant is made with Allah Almighty and taken by Him from His servants, or whether it is a mutual promise between people, or whether it is an agreement made through sale or marriage, it is necessary to fulfill them. Betrayal in trust and breaking promises are both crimes that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has declared as signs of a hypocrite, as is clear from the following hadiths:
1. Hazrat Abu Hurairah ؓ says that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There are three signs of a hypocrite: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when something is entrusted to him, he betrays the trust." [بخاری۔ کتاب الایمان۔ باب علامۃ المنافق]
2. Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas ؓ says that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever possesses four traits is a pure hypocrite, and whoever possesses one of these four traits has a trait of hypocrisy until he gives it up: when something is entrusted to him, he betrays the trust; when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a covenant, he acts treacherously; and when he quarrels, he resorts to foul language or injustice." [بخاری۔ کتاب الایمان۔ باب علامۃ المنافق]
Now see, in the first hadith only three signs are mentioned, two of which are the same as those mentioned in this verse, and in the second hadith, among the four signs mentioned, two are these same matters.
