Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The Meaning of Laghw:

Laghw refers to useless and futile activities and games. That is, if these people play any games for recreation or physical exercise, they do not play such games that are merely a waste of time, but rather play those games from which some religious benefit can also be obtained, such as swimming, spear-throwing, archery, and target shooting for the purpose of jihad, etc. Laghw can also mean indecent and useless talk, such as idle gossip, backbiting, nonsense, mockery, obscene conversation, and vulgar songs, etc. They not only avoid these things themselves, but if they find themselves in such a society, they get up and leave, and absolutely do not tolerate staying with such people.
