Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

118. And pray to Allah: "O my Lord! Forgive me [110] and have mercy on me, and You are the best of those who show mercy."

[110] Earlier, in verse 109 of this same surah, it was mentioned that when My servants would supplicate to Me for forgiveness and mercy, the disbelievers would mock them. After describing their outcome, the Prophet of Islam and the Muslims are being instructed that they should continue to supplicate to Allah for mercy and forgiveness in all circumstances. And since Allah is the greatest of all and the Most Merciful, you should be certain that He, out of His mercy, will forgive your shortcomings and mistakes.
