فَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰٓ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِى وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ ﴿110﴾

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

But you used to mock them [103] so much so that it made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.

[103] Because your condition in the world was such that when My sincere servants would pray and seek forgiveness before you, or worship Me, you would laugh at them. You mocked them so much and ridiculed their good qualities to such an extent that, by constantly pursuing them, you even forgot My remembrance. And you were not even aware that there is such a Being above you who is always watching your deeds. And He is also capable of punishing you for your mischief.
