And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, you will notice a denial on the faces of the disbelievers! They are nearly ready to attack with violence those who recite Our Verses to them. Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

And when Our verses are recited to them, you see signs of displeasure on their faces. (It seems as if) they are about to attack those who recite Our verses to them. Say, "Shall I tell you of something worse than that? The Fire [101] which Allah has promised for the disbelievers—and what an evil destination it is!"

The Aversion and Discomfort of Polytheists and Disbelievers Toward Pure Monotheism:

That is, when such verses of Allah Almighty are recited before the polytheists in which pure monotheism is mentioned, and it is explained that all powers of managing affairs belong only to Allah and no one else shares in them, the expressions of these polytheists begin to change, and they become so agitated that they might attack or slap the one reciting such verses. Say to them, O Prophet ﷺ, that indeed these verses are unpleasant to you, but the outcome of this displeasure will be even more unpleasant, and that is the punishment of the Fire. Now you yourselves decide which of these two unpleasant things is more acceptable to you.
