Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
7. And surely the Hour is coming—there is no doubt about it—and Allah will certainly resurrect those who are in the graves [7].
[7] In these verses, several interrelated realities have been stated, which are as follows: (1) The existence of Allah Almighty is a solid reality. He is the All-Knowing and All-Aware Being. All the affairs in the universe are taking place under His wisdom and power. (2) He can create living things from dead things. Then He transforms living things into dead things, and then He can give them life again. For example, He created man from a handful of dust. Then the sperm of man is also formed from lifeless substances, in which life is created. Moreover, the human body and its food are composed of materials that are all lifeless substances. For example, the human body and its food are all composed of salts, iron, lime, coal, and some gases. By combining these, Allah created living, breathing humans. Then after death, this human body decomposes into the soil, and Allah has full power to create man anew from these lifeless materials. (3) Arguments for the Hereafter from Divine Attributes:
The third point is that Allah Almighty has complete power over everything. If He did not possess such power, He could never have done such things. Then, His wisdom also plays a significant role in these matters. For example, if He has placed the potential for a human being to be formed in the sperm, then along with that, the newborn child also contains a reflection of the appearance, intellect, and physical strength of its parents. And in these matters, the newborn is quite similar to its parents. Thus, besides matter, the hidden powers of the parents are also transferred to the offspring, and their manifestation occurs when the child reaches maturity. (4) Allah Almighty has not created man in this universe without purpose. Rather, Allah Almighty has granted man the power of will and choice, and the ability to distinguish and reason, so that it may be seen whether he lives in this universe as an obedient servant of Allah or spends his life as a disobedient and rebellious one. The condition of man himself is such that when he assigns a responsibility to someone or hires a laborer or a slave for wages, he also holds him accountable. Therefore, how is it possible that Allah Almighty would hold to account who obeys His command and who disobeys Him? For this very accountability, the establishment of the Hereafter is necessary, and this is what reason, wisdom, and justice demand. And since the brief life of this world is absolutely insufficient for the reward and punishment of deeds, from this perspective as well, the establishment of the Day of Resurrection and the Day of Recompense is necessary.
