That is because Allâh merges the night into the day, and He merges the day into the night. And verily, Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Seer.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

61. This is because Allah alone merges the night into the day and the day into the night [90], and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

[90] Such is Allah Almighty’s control and power over the universe that He keeps turning the day and night over each other—sometimes the days become longer and the nights shorter, and sometimes the nights decrease and the days begin to grow longer. Now, can the Being who has such power to control the universe not take retribution from the wrongdoer? Therefore, as much as possible, avoid oppression and excess, and even better than that is to forgive if someone commits excess against you.
