كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِ أَنَّهُۥ مَن تَوَلَّاهُ فَأَنَّهُۥ يُضِلُّهُۥ وَيَهْدِيهِ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ ﴿4﴾
For him (the devil) it is decreed that whosoever follows him, he will mislead him, and will drive him to the torment of the Fire. [Tafsir At-Tabarî]
كُتِبَ kutiba It has been decreed
عَلَيْهِ ʿalayhi for him
أَنَّهُۥ annahu that he
مَن man who
تَوَلَّاهُ tawallāhu befriends him
فَأَنَّهُۥ fa-annahu then indeed, he
يُضِلُّهُۥ yuḍilluhu will misguide him
وَيَهْدِيهِ wayahdīhi and will guide him
إِلَىٰ ilā to
عَذَابِ ʿadhābi (the) punishment
ٱلسَّعِيرِ l-saʿīri (of) the Blaze
