Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
And We also bestowed Our favor upon Ishmael, Idris, and Dhul-Kifl [76]; all of them were among the steadfast.
[76] Who Was Dhu’l-Kifl?
The details about Dhu’l-Kifl are also scarcely mentioned in the Book and Sunnah. There is a difference of opinion regarding his prophethood, i.e., whether he was a prophet or not. However, since his mention comes among the prophets, the predominant assumption is that he was a prophet. He was the successor of Al-Yasa’. His title was Dhu’l-Kifl (meaning “the one with a share”), and his name was Bashir bin Ayyub. The region of Sham was the center of his mission. The king of the time, from the Amalekites, was a staunch enemy of Bani Israel. He liberated Bani Israel from him. Then that king also became Muslim and entrusted the government to him. As a result, Islam once again spread widely in the region of Sham.
