Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

And We made them leaders, guiding by Our command, and We inspired them to do good deeds, establish prayer, and give zakah; and they were devoted worshippers of Us.

[61] When Ibrahim (peace be upon him) prayed for offspring in his old age, Allah granted him Ishaq (peace be upon him). Then, to his son Ishaq (peace be upon him), Yaqub (peace be upon him) was born, and all three were prophets. And it is clear that a prophet is the most righteous individual of his time, and in the laws of all these prophets, prayer and zakat were obligatory just as they have been made obligatory in the Shariah of Muhammad (peace be upon him), although there have always been differences in the details.
