Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Then they (the people of Pharaoh) disputed among themselves about the matter and kept their discussion [44] secret.

Disagreement Among Pharaoh's Chiefs:

Pharaoh's chiefs were considerably affected by his advice and began to disagree among themselves. One group said that to confront these prophets would be to invite their own defeat. Another said that the contest should be postponed for now, even though people had already gathered to witness it. In this situation, these chiefs withdrew and sat together to reach a unanimous decision. Expert magicians were also included in this consultation, and some among them said that such radiant faces could not be magicians.
