Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

[37] Man’s Permanent Connection to the Earth:
In this verse, three states that befall man are mentioned, and all three are related to the earth. Allah created man from the earth or clay and made all his needs dependent on it. From birth to death, this is one stage. The second stage is from death until the Day of Resurrection. In this stage, man is buried in this earth, and most people’s bodies become dust and mix with the soil. And it is mentioned in a hadith that the bodies of the Prophets are not consumed by the earth. This does not mean that the earth consumes everyone else’s bodies, but rather that the bodies of the Prophets are certainly not consumed, and there may be some other people whose bodies remain preserved in their graves. The third stage is resurrection after death, that is, when Allah will gather the particles mixed in the soil and resurrect everyone, presenting them before Himself. Thus, the first two stages serve as evidence for the third stage.
