Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

52. Moses replied, "The knowledge of them is with my Lord in a Book [34]. My Lord [35] neither errs nor forgets."

[34] If Musa (peace be upon him) had answered Pharaoh’s question by saying that all of them were misguided and would face the punishment of Hell, then although this answer would have been correct, all of Pharaoh’s courtiers would have flared up in anger and immediately united against both of them, and Pharaoh would have succeeded in his objective. But Musa (peace be upon him) gave such a wise answer that was based on reality and did not hurt anyone’s prejudiced feelings. He replied in clear words that there is no need for us to know the conditions of those who have passed away; they know and their Lord knows. We should only be concerned about ourselves: what way of life we choose and what our end will be.

[35]
Forgetfulness and Error are Impossible for Allah:

That is, in the matter of creating His creation, the law of guidance that Allah Almighty has established—He neither forgets nor errs in it, nor in giving anyone the reward or punishment for their good or bad deeds. At this point in the Quran, the mention of Sayyiduna Musa comes to an end, and it seems that here the first conversation between Pharaoh and Sayyiduna Musa is concluding. In the following verses, the arguments for Tawheed that are presented and the admonitions that are given are from Allah Almighty and are for all people.
