Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

18. He said, "It is my staff [14]; I lean on it, and with it I beat down leaves for my goats, and I have other uses [15] for it as well."

The Delight of Divine Revelation:

The answer to Allah’s question was sufficiently complete with just “This is my staff,” but there was such delight in that voice that Musa ؑ wished to prolong those moments of pleasure. Therefore, he mentioned several other related things as well, so that he might enjoy the honor of conversing a little longer.
[15] For example, “I drive my goats with it, protect the flock, defend them from the attack of wild beasts, and pursue them,” and so on.
