Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

120. Then Satan whispered to Adam and said, “O Adam! Shall I show you the tree of eternity and a kingdom that never decays?” [86]

[86] Did Satan first deceive Hawwa (Eve)? Satan was a very cunning and crafty enemy of Adam ؑ. He cast such an alluring whisper that captivated Adam’s heart. Moreover, due to the long passage of time, Sayyiduna Adam ؑ had forgotten the promise he made to his Lord. Satan convinced him that if you taste the fruit of this tree, you will become a permanent resident of this Paradise, you will attain eternal life, and your authority and control over the blessings of Paradise will remain forever. Here, it is noteworthy that in this place, the satanic whisper is attributed only to Sayyiduna Adam ؑ, while in another place, it is attributed to both. This is because in this matter, Hawwa’s status was only as a follower. However, the Bible’s narrative is that Satan first deceived Lady Hawwa, and then Hawwa persuaded Sayyiduna Adam ؑ to eat the fruit. Some commentators have also transmitted this Biblical narrative, whereas this narrative is proven incorrect according to this verse of the Quran.
