سُوْرَةُ طٰهٰ
Surah Taa-Haa (20) — Ayah 102
يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ۚ وَنَحْشُرُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ زُرْقًا ﴿102﴾

The Day when the Trumpet will be blown (the second blowing): that Day, We shall gather the Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) blue or blind-eyed with thirst.

On the Day when the Trumpet [71] will be blown, We will gather the criminals that Day, bluish [72] with terror.

The Meaning of "Sur" and Its Advanced Forms:
"Sur" means a horn, trumpet, or bugle, and these things were prevalent in the era of the Prophet ﷺ. It is not necessary that the "Sur" should have the same form and appearance; rather, the Quran uses such words by which the human mind can become acquainted with something close to the original thing. Later, for this purpose, the bugle is used in the army to assemble or disperse the troops. During the threat of an air raid, the siren is also a similar thing. Sirens are also used at the time of closing and opening the fast. So, the blowing of the "Sur" will be something similar to this or even more advanced in form.
[72] One meaning is that when, out of terror, the eyes become petrified, a bluish whiteness overcomes them. And the second meaning is that the whole body will become bluish, that is, out of terror, the blood will dry up and a bluish hue will begin to dominate the body.
