Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

And among them (the Jews) is a group [92] of unlettered people who do not know the Book (the Torah) except for wishful thinking, and they do nothing but conjecture.

The Blameworthy Beliefs of the Illiterate Jews:

This was the condition of their common people who could not even read the Torah. Nor did they know which principles and commands were the basis for salvation in the Hereafter. They were simply absorbed in their false expectations, which were that since they were the descendants of the Prophets and beloved of Allah, therefore, they would not enter Hell. Is Hell meant for any other creation? And if we are punished, it will only be for a few days, as many days as the worship of the calf lasted.
