Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

277. Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds [397], establish prayer, and give zakat, their reward is with their Lord. They will have no fear, nor will they grieve.

[397] This verse has been placed in the middle so that the condition of the God-fearing people may be mentioned in contrast to the usurers, as you will observe throughout the Noble Quran that wherever the people of Hell are mentioned, the people of Paradise are also mentioned alongside, and vice versa. After this, the discussion on the subject of usury is continued. At this point, two extremely important qualities of the believers are mentioned. One is the establishment of Salah, which is the most important of the physical acts of worship. The other is the giving of Zakah, which is the most important of the financial acts of worship and is also the direct opposite of usury. If the economic system of Islam is to be described in extremely brief words, it consists of only two components: one negative, the other positive. The negative aspect is the eradication of the system of usury, and the positive aspect is the promotion of the system of Zakah.
