Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

262. Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah and then do not follow up what they have spent with reminders of their generosity [378] or with injury (i.e., they do not demand any forced labor, etc.), their reward is with their Lord. They will have no fear, nor will they grieve.

Reminding of Favors is a Major Sin:

The Prophet ﷺ said: There are three people with whom Allah will neither speak on the Day of Resurrection, nor look at them with mercy, nor purify them. One is the mannan (the one who reminds others of his favors), the second is the one who lets his lower garment hang below his ankles, and the third is the one who sells his goods by swearing a false oath. [مسلم، كتاب الايمان، باب تحريم اسبال الازار و المن بالعطية، تنقيق السلعه بالحلف... الخ] And the jurists have clarified that regarding those actions and deeds about which Allah says that He will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor look at them with mercy, nor purify them—such actions are major sins. Thus, the one who reminds others of his favor after giving charity not only loses the reward of his charity, but also bears the burden of a major sin.
