The Cow · Medinan · Juz 2 · Page 33

Beautified is the life of this world for those who disbelieve, and they mock at those who believe. But those who obey Allâh’s Orders and keep away from what He has forbidden, will be above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allâh gives (of His Bounty, Blessings, Favours, Honours on the Day of Resurrection) to whom He wills without limit.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

212. The life of this world has been made very attractive [280] to the disbelievers, and they mock the believers. Yet, on the Day of Resurrection, those who are mindful of Allah will be above them. (As for the life of this world,) Allah provides without measure to whom He wills.

[280]
Worldly Sustenance is Not the Criterion of Success:

That is, they, being engrossed in worldly wealth and riches, mock Hazrat Bilalؓ, Ammarؓ, Suhaibؓ, and other poor emigrants, and say that Muhammadﷺ dreams of prevailing over the chiefs of Arabia by gathering such people around him. Allah Almighty has answered this by stating that worldly sustenance is not a criterion for success or salvation in the Hereafter. Rather, Allah Almighty, if He wills, grants this sustenance in abundance even to the disbelievers in this world. As for success, these very weak and pious people will be in the highest ranks of Paradise on the Day of Judgment, while those disbelievers enamored with the world will be far below them in Hell.
