It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
199. Then depart from where all the people depart [271], and seek forgiveness from Allah. Surely, Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[271] It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha ؓ that: The Quraish and those who followed their way used to stay at Muzdalifah (instead of Arafat); these people were called Hums. Whereas the rest of the Arabs would stay at Arafat. When the era of Islam came, Allah Almighty commanded His Prophet to go to Arafat, stay there, and then return from there (to Muzdalifah). ﴿ ثُمَّاَفِيْضُوْامِنْحَيْثُاَفَاضالنَّاسُ﴾ refers to this. [بخاري، كتاب التفسير۔ باب ثم افيضوا۔۔ ۔] It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas ؓ that (whoever, with the intention of Tamattu', exits the state of Ihram after Umrah) should continue to perform voluntary Tawaf of the House of Allah until he puts on the Ihram for Hajj. Then, when he puts on the Ihram for Hajj and mounts to go to Arafat, after Hajj, he should offer the sacrifice, whether it is a camel, cow, or goat. And if he cannot find a sacrifice, then during the days of Hajj, he should fast for three days before the day of Arafah, and if the third fast falls on the day of Arafah, there is no harm. He should go from Makkah to Arafat, stay there from Asr prayer until the darkness of night. Then he should return from Arafat when the other people return, and spend the night at Muzdalifah with all the people, remembering Allah, reciting Takbir and Tahlil abundantly until morning. Then in the morning, he should return from Muzdalifah to Mina with the people. As Allah Almighty has said ﴿ ثُمَّاَفِيْضُوْامِنْحَيْثُاَفَاضالنَّاسُ ﴾ and while throwing the pebbles, he should continue to remember Allah, recite Takbir and Tahlil in the same way.
