سُوْرَةُ البَقَرَةِ
Surah Al-Baqara (2) — Ayah 128
رَبَّنَا وَٱجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَآ أُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿128﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
Our Lord! And make us submissive unto You and of our offspring a nation submissive unto You, and show us our Manâsik (all the ceremonies of pilgrimage - Hajjand ‘Umrah), and accept our repentance. Truly, You are the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.

128. Our Lord! Make both of us submissive to You [157], and from our descendants raise a community submissive to You. Show us the ways of Your worship [158], and accept our repentance. Surely, You are the Most Relenting [159], the Most Merciful.
[157] When these two prophets were building the Ka'bah, they were also praying alongside, saying: O Allah, accept this service from us and make us obedient (Muslim) to You, and from our offspring produce a Muslim nation. A Muslim is one who submits himself before Allah and surrenders himself completely to Allah, and lives his life in this world according to the guidance of Allah. The name of this belief and way of life is Islam, and this has been the religion of all the prophets.
[158] The word "Manasik" is generally used for the etiquettes and rites of Hajj and the rules of sacrifice. Although in its broader meaning, it includes all forms of worship.

Prophets and Seeking Forgiveness:
No prophet commits a sin intentionally; as for mistakes, forgetfulness and errors are forgiven for the Ummah. But the status of the prophets is so great that even a slight heedlessness is considered a sin in their case. That is why, despite being infallible, the prophets (peace be upon them) engage in repenting and seeking forgiveness much more than the general public.
