The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
122. O Children of Israel! [148] Remember My favor which I bestowed upon you, and that I preferred you above all the nations.
[148] After the Detailed Mention of the Jews, a Final Warning:
The mention of Bani Israel begins from the fifth ruku and continues in full detail through the fourteenth ruku, spanning ten rukus in total. It is explained that Allah Almighty had granted them superiority over all the nations of the world and entrusted them with the duty of guiding all mankind. However, countless moral diseases had developed among them, due to which they were no longer worthy of leadership. Allah Almighty has described all such moral diseases in detail, and in the end, they are being given the same guidance as at the beginning: out of fear of that Day, even now, refrain from your wickedness. On that Day, no person will be able to benefit another, no compensation will be accepted, no intercession will be of any use, nor will any other means of help avail.
