And they (Jews, Christians and pagans) say: Allâh has begotten a son (children or offspring). Glory be to Him (Exalted be He above all that they associate with Him). Nay, to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth, and all surrender with obedience (in worship) to Him.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

116. (The People of the Book) say, "Allah has taken a son." Glory be to Him! Rather, to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth [137], all are obedient to Him.

[137] Those Who Attribute Offspring to Allah:
The Jews say that Uzair ؑ is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that Isa ibn Maryam عليهما السلام is the son of Allah. And the polytheists say that the angels are the daughters of Allah. In refutation of this, Allah Almighty has said that whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him, and He is their Owner. Therefore, all things are owned, and a son is a partner, not an owned one. Thus, it is impossible for Allah to have offspring. And in an authentic Qudsi hadith, it is mentioned that Allah Almighty says: "The children of Adam have belied Me and insulted Me. Their denial is that I will not be able to resurrect them, and their insult is that they have ascribed to Me a wife and a son." [بخاري، كتاب التفسير، تفسير سورة اخلاص ]
