Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
11. And when it is said to them, "Do not spread corruption [16] on the earth," they say, "We are only reformers [17]."
[16] Their corruption was that their heartfelt sympathies were with the disbelievers, and by remaining among the Muslims, they kept them informed of their conditions and performed espionage duties for them. They used to turn away new and weak in faith Muslims through various tricks and excuses, and in the event of war, they left no stone unturned in harming the Muslims. [17] That is, we want to maintain peace with everyone and wish that, as before, all may live together in harmony, and the opposition that is increasing due to the new religion (Islam) may come to an end.
