Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
So We have made this (the Qur’ân) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), only that you may give glad tidings to the Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2), and warn with it the Ludd (most quarrelsome) people.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
So (O Prophet), We have made this Qur’an easy in your language so that you may give good news to the righteous and warn those who are contentious [83].
[83] By "a stubborn people" are meant the obstinate, quarrelsome, and argumentative chiefs of the Quraysh, who were accustomed to finding fault in everything. It is they who are being warned here that many nations like yours have been so utterly destroyed by Us that not a trace of them remains on the face of the earth. And today, not even a whisper of their arrogance, insolence, and boastful talk can be heard.
