Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds, soon Allah will create love [82] for them (in the hearts of people).
[82] Why Do People Love the Prophets and the Righteous, and Hate the Wicked?
This verse was revealed at a time when the noble Companions ؓ were compelled and oppressed. They were afflicted at the hands of the Qurayshi chiefs and were considered insignificant in their eyes. In this verse, there is a great glad tiding for them as well as a prophecy. Then a time came when Allah Almighty granted such honor to the noble Companions ؓ that the whole world began to love them and sing their praises. This continues to this day. This matter is not limited only to the noble Companions ؓ, but whoever is a believer and performs righteous deeds—even if, in the beginning, people do not pay attention to him or he faces hardships in this path—soon Allah Almighty will grant them honor and create acceptance and love for them among the people. On the contrary, no matter how much initial honor the disbelievers and wicked people may have, in the end, they fall from the eyes of the people, and people begin to hate them. How and why all this happens is explained in the following hadith: Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah ؓ says that the Prophet ﷺ said: When Allah Almighty loves a servant, He calls Jibreel and says, "I love so-and-so, so you also love him." Then Jibreel announces in the heavens. Then love for him is placed among the people of the earth. This is the meaning of Allah Almighty's statement. And when Allah is displeased with a servant, He says to Jibreel, "I am displeased with so-and-so, so you also be displeased with him." Then this hatred is placed for him among the people of the earth. [ترمذي، ابواب التفسير]
