Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The Qualities and Characteristics of Sayyiduna Ismail:

Sayyiduna Ismail, the other and elder son of Sayyiduna Ibrahimؑ, was known as Dhabihullah (the one who was to be sacrificed). He was a prophet and also a messenger, while Sayyiduna Ishaqؑ was a prophet, as mentioned above. Sayyiduna Ismailؑ is the ancestor of the Arabs of Hijaz (for details, see the footnote of verse 37 of Surah Ibrahim). He was sent with the Abrahamic Shariah to the tribe of Jurhum. The Messenger of Allahﷺ is from his descendants. He was famous for being true to his promises. Whether the promise was made to Allah or to people, he would certainly fulfill it, even if it required sacrificing his life. When his father, Sayyiduna Ibrahimؑ, asked him to sacrifice his life in the way of Allah, he immediately agreed and promised that, in this matter as well, he would, inshaAllah, be patient. Thus, by displaying perfect obedience, he fulfilled this promise as well.
