Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

[44] The Promise of Prophet Ibrahimؑ to Pray for His Father's Forgiveness:
Thus, Prophet Ibrahimؑ considered leaving his home as the means of safety for himself and his religion. However, he was so well-wishing and soft-hearted towards his father that, instead of expressing any displeasure while leaving, he prayed for his peace and safety and promised that he would continue to pray to his Lord for his forgiveness—and he did so. Later, through revelation, it became clear to him that a polytheist can never be forgiven under any circumstances, so he refrained from making such a prayer, as has been mentioned in Surah At-Tawbah.
