It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
61. Then when they reached the junction of the two seas, they forgot their fish [60], and it took its way into the sea, slipping away like a tunnel.
[60] The Dead Fish Coming to Life, Jumping into the River, and Making a Tunnel in the Sea:
When they reached the junction, Musa (peace be upon him) slept in the shade of a rock, and his servant, Sayyiduna Yusha‘ bin Nun (peace be upon him), who was later granted prophethood and became the successor of Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him), remained sitting there. During this time, the fish began to move, wriggled, and jumped into the river. At first, Sayyiduna Yusha‘ thought to wake Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) and inform him that the fish had gone into the river. But when he woke up and told him to continue the journey, Yusha‘ (peace be upon him) forgot to mention the fish, nor did Musa (peace be upon him) remember to check on their symbolic fish.
