And We send not the Messengers except as givers of glad tidings and warners. But those who disbelieve, dispute with false argument, in order to refute the truth thereby. And they treat My Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and that with which they are warned, as a jest and mockery!

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

56. And We do not send the messengers except as bearers of good news [54] and as warners. But those who disbelieve argue with false arguments to refute the truth thereby, and they have taken My signs and warnings in mockery.

The Disbelievers Arguing with the Messengers Through Absurd Questions:

The real task of the messengers is only to give glad tidings of Paradise to the obedient according to the message revealed to them from Allah, and to warn the disobedient of their evil end. Or, by acting upon Allah’s commands, to show people the way. It is not their job to fulfill the miracles demanded by the disbelievers, and when the disbelievers and deniers of the truth demand miracles from the prophets or ask them all sorts of questions to test them, their purpose is never that if the miracle is shown or their questions are answered, they will believe. Rather, they are seeking a way to reject the prophet and his message, or if that is not possible, then by mocking the signs of Allah and taunting the Muslims, they try to satisfy themselves.
