And (remember) the Day He will say: "Call those (so-called) partners of Mine whom you pretended." Then they will cry unto them, but they will not answer them, and We shall put a Maubiq (barrier) between them.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

52. And on the Day when Allah will say (to the polytheists): "Call upon those whom you claimed as My partners," they will call upon them, but they will not respond to them, and We will place a barrier of destruction [51] between them.

[51] That is, We will place a deep trench between the polytheists and their deities, in which fire will be blazing. In this way, neither the worshippers will be able to establish any connection with their deities, nor the deities with their followers. Another meaning could be that We will place intense enmity between these worshippers and their deities. In the world, the worshippers used to honor and respect them greatly and had given them the status of divinity, but on that day, they will become their worst enemies and will think that it was because of them that they were subjected to punishment.
