سُوْرَةُ الإِسۡرَاءِ
Surah Al-Israa (17) — Ayah 58
وَإِن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا نَحْنُ مُهْلِكُوهَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ أَوْ مُعَذِّبُوهَا عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا ۚ كَانَ ذَٰلِكَ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مَسْطُورًا ﴿58﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
And there is not a town (population) but We shall destroy it before the Day of Resurrection, or punish it with a severe torment. That is written in the Book (of Our Decrees)

58. There is no city but We will destroy it before the Day of Resurrection or punish it with a severe punishment [72]. That is written in the Book.

The Destruction of All Towns Before the Day of Judgment:
That is, some towns have already been destroyed after being seized by punishment, and the same fate awaits all the remaining towns before the Day of Judgment. And since, before the coming of the Day of Judgment, the righteous people will be taken away and the Day of Judgment will be established upon the worst of people, therefore, before the Day of Judgment disrupts the system of the universe, such wicked towns will be destroyed by punishment beforehand.
