And when those who associated partners with Allâh see their (Allâh’s so-called) partners, they will say: "Our Lord! These are our partners whom we used to invoke besides you." But they will throw back their word at them (and say): "Surely! You indeed are liars!"

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

86. And when the polytheists see their partners, they will say: "Our Lord! These are our partners whom we used to call upon besides You." But they (the partners) will throw back at them the statement: "Indeed, you are surely liars [87]."

[87] That is, those who were called upon as fulfillers of needs, removers of difficulties, helpers, or supporters, etc. They will not call the polytheists or their callers liars in the sense that they never used to call upon them, but rather in the sense that we ourselves lived our lives as obedient servants of Allah. We never even claimed that we could fulfill people’s needs. And even if you used to do such things, we had no knowledge of it. Then why did you attribute such false and fabricated things to us? Such beliefs of yours are entirely based on falsehood and are baseless.
