Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
And to Allâh belongs the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. And the matter of the Hour is not but as a twinkling of the eye, or even nearer. Truly! Allâh is Able to do all things.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
To Allah alone belongs the knowledge of the unseen in the heavens and the earth. And the matter of the Hour (of Resurrection) is but like the twinkling of an eye [78], or even quicker. Surely, Allah is capable of all things.
[78] The Sudden Occurrence of the Day of Judgment:
Here, without mentioning the question of the polytheists in between, its answer is being given. They often keep asking this question: when will the Day of Judgment come, that is, after how many years, and on which date of which month will it occur? And its answer has already been mentioned from several aspects. The aspect mentioned here is that all the things of this universe, and those events and incidents that have occurred in the past, are happening now, or will happen in the future, are hidden from your sight and knowledge. For Allah, all these matters are just as if they are present and before Him. In the same way, He has complete knowledge of the Day of Judgment and knows when to bring it about. You should just understand one thing: the Day of Judgment will not come in such a way that you will see it coming from afar, so you can prepare yourself and repent. Rather, when the Day of Judgment comes, it will not even take as long as the blink of an eye before it occurs. Thus, Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah ؓ says that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Two men will be spreading out a cloth and making a deal, and before they finish that deal and folding up the cloth, the Day of Judgment will come. A man will be carrying the milk of a she-camel, and before he can drink it, the Day of Judgment will come. A man will be plastering his pond, but before it is filled with water or drunk from, the Day of Judgment will come. And a man will raise a morsel of food to his mouth, and before he puts it in his mouth, the Day of Judgment will come." [بخاری، کتاب الرقاق۔ باب بلاعنوان۔ نیز کتاب الفتن۔ باب بلاعنوان]
