And (when) it is said to those who are the Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2) "What is it that your Lord has sent down?" They say: "That which is good." For those who do good in this world, there is good, and the home of the Hereafter will be better. And excellent indeed will be the home (i.e. Paradise) of the Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2).

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

30. And when the righteous are asked, “What has your Lord sent down?” they say, “Goodness [30], pure goodness.” For those who do good, there is good in this world, and the home of the Hereafter is even better. And how excellent is the home of the righteous!

The Quran is Pure Goodness:

When the people around the disbelievers of Makkah would ask them this same question, they would say that it is nothing but tales of the ancients, which we have already heard many times before. But when these same outsiders would ask this question to a believer and a God-fearing person, their answer would be completely opposite to that of the disbelievers of Makkah. They would say that the teachings revealed to the Prophet contain nothing but goodness for both this world and the Hereafter. Moreover, these people do not merely acknowledge these things with their tongues, but they also implement the teachings revealed by Allah upon themselves. They perform the deeds they are commanded to do in the best manner, and they refrain from the deeds they are forbidden from. Such people attain goodness in this world as well, and in the Hereafter, they will be granted everlasting happiness and goodness. In other words, this very Quran becomes a cause of further misguidance for the disbelievers, and a cause of further guidance for those who fear Allah.
