Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

This is because they preferred the life of this world [113] over the Hereafter, and Allah does not guide the disbelieving people to the straight path.

Upon Whose Hearts is the Seal Set?

This is because such people, after recognizing Islam as the truth, did accept it, but the value and worth of its truthfulness and the reward of the Hereafter in exchange for hardships was not even so much in their eyes that they could bear some temporary loss of worldly interests. They have become so intoxicated with the pursuit of the world and worship of their own desires that there is no hope of them coming to their senses. And all the faculties of intellect and thought that were granted to them, they rendered useless. Upon the hearts, ears, and eyes of such people, Allah Almighty sets a seal.
