Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
Then he asked them: "O messengers of Allah! What is your [31] mission?"
[31] The Reason for Sayyiduna Ibrahim’s ؑ Fear:
From the arrival of these angels, Sayyiduna Ibrahim ؑ understood that they had come on a special mission. Otherwise, for giving the glad tidings of a son, even one angel would have sufficed. Moreover, the coming of several angels in human form only occurred in extraordinary circumstances. Therefore, he asked them what the real purpose of their coming in this manner was. It should be noted that the Quran here uses the word “khatb,” and this word is used for an unpleasant situation, as if he was truly afraid of the arrival of these angels. Then, when the angels informed him that they had been sent to the people of Lut, his fear departed.
