Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

It has seven gates. For each gate, there is a designated [24] portion.

The Gates, Levels, and Names of Hell:

By the divided portion, it is meant that the criminals of the same sin will be separated and all will enter through the same gate. For example, atheists through one gate, polytheists through another, hypocrites through another, and so on. In other words, for each level of Hell, there will be a separate gate, and these levels will also be seven. According to Ibn Abbas ؓ, their names are: Jahannam, Sa‘ir, Lazā, Hutamah, Saqar, Jaheem, and Hawiyah. The word Jahannam is general for all these levels and is also the name of the first level. Some people have divided the sinners for these levels as follows: in the first level, Jahannam, sinful Muslims; in the second level, Sa‘ir, the Jews; in the third level, Lazā, the Christians; in the fourth level, Hutamah, the Sabians; in the fifth level, Saqar, the Magians; in the sixth level, the polytheists; and in the seventh level, the hypocrites, which is the lowest level. And Allah knows best what is correct. It should be noted that Hell has seven gates, while Paradise has eight gates.
