Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

28. Have you not considered the case [36] of those who exchanged the favor of Allah (faith) for disbelief and led their people to the house of ruin,

[36] By these people are meant the polytheist Qurayshi chiefs who at that time held the reins of all Arabia. These people were the custodians of the House of Allah, and because of this custodianship, they were respected throughout Arabia. Allah sent youﷺ for their guidance and revealed the Quran. This was Allah’s second great favor upon them. But these people responded to Allah’s blessings with stubbornness and hostility. They girded themselves for opposition to the truth. Then they continued to increase in this opposition until they themselves were destroyed and left their nation destroyed as well, and after death, they themselves will be consigned to Hell and will also drag their followers down with them.
