سُوْرَةُ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ
Surah Ibrahim (14) — Ayah 11
قَالَتْ لَهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ إِن نَّحْنُ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَمُنُّ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَآ أَن نَّأْتِيَكُم بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿11﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
Their Messengers said to them: "We are no more than human beings like you, but Allâh bestows His Grace to whom He wills of His slaves. It is not ours to bring you an authority (proof) except by the Permission of Allâh. And in Allâh (Alone) let the believers put their trust.

The messengers said to them, "It is true, we are only human beings like you, but Allah bestows His grace upon whomever He wills among His servants. And it is not within our power to bring you any miracle except by Allah’s command [16]. And the believers should put their trust in Allah alone."
[16] The response that all the prophets (peace be upon them) have always given to these objections and demands of the polytheists is that we never claim that we are not human. We only say that Allah has bestowed an extra favor upon us by granting us the knowledge of truth and perfect insight. And it is Allah’s will that He bestows this favor upon whomever He wishes among His servants, and it is this knowledge of truth that we are inviting you to. We have no authority of our own. Neither do we have the power to show you any miracle by our own will, nor have we ever made such a claim. Rather, in all our affairs, we place our trust in Allah alone.
