Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

38. And indeed, We sent messengers before you, and We gave them wives and offspring [50]. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign except by Allah’s permission. For every term there is a decree.

What Relation Do Prophets and Friends of Allah Have With Worldly Affairs of Family and Children:

In this sentence, an objection has also been answered. The ignorant masses think that getting married and having children is the work of worldly people. How could prophets and friends of Allah have anything to do with these worldly affairs? They should not be seekers of the world but rather renouncers of it, as monasticism became prevalent among the Jews and Christians. In response, Allah Almighty said that all the messengers who passed before were people with families and children, and you believe in their truthfulness, so which of them will you deny? They were human beings and fulfilled human needs, and since they were human, none of them had the power to show any miracle by their own will or ability, except that by Allah’s command, miracles would occur at their hands. And even now, if Allah wills, He is able to show miracles at the hands of this Prophet.
