Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

What is Meant by Tuba?

The meaning of the word "Tuba" is to attain such happiness that not only the heart but also the senses of a person are delighted (Mufradat), and all the blessings of Paradise will be of this nature. Some commentators have taken "Tuba" to mean that tree which is mentioned in hadiths, that it is a tree in Paradise under whose shade, if a rider were to travel for a hundred years, its shade would not end. [بخاري، كتاب التفسير] Surah Waqi'ah under verse ﴿وَّظِلٍّ مَّمْدُوْدٍ﴾ For the Arabs, the presence of such a tree in Paradise is a very great glad tiding, because most of the Arab land is rocky and desert. There is intense heat, hot winds blow, but trees or their shade are very rarely found. That is why, wherever the blessings of Paradise are mentioned, there is special mention of cool water and dense, cool shade.
