Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

28. Those who believe and whose hearts find peace in the remembrance [37] of Allah—surely, it is in the remembrance of Allah that hearts find peace.

[37]
The Remembrance of Allah is of Two Types:

One is to remember Allah in the heart at all times. The second is to keep reciting His name with the tongue, and in the hadith it is stated that the best remembrance is "La ilaha illallah," or it is this Quran, about which it is said: ﴿اِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَاِنَّا لَهٗ لَحٰفِظُوْنَ﴾ [9: 14]
Among the countless benefits of remembrance is that it produces trust in Allah, and the person who is truly blessed with the gift of trusting only in Allah never becomes anxious in hardships and calamities, nor does his heart become enamored with the pleasures of the world. He keeps his focus on Allah in every situation, and he attains such inner peace and comfort that only those can understand who have been granted this blessing by Allah. And in terms of the context of the subject, the meaning of this verse is that those who have believed, their hearts become content even without seeing a miracle, and the truth is that hearts find contentment through the remembrance of Allah, not through miracles.
