And those who break the Covenant of Allâh, after its ratification, and sever that which Allâh has commanded to be joined (i.e. they sever the bond of kinship and are not good to their relatives), and work mischief in the land, on them is the curse (i.e. they will be far away from Allâh’s Mercy), and for them is the unhappy (evil) home (i.e. Hell).

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

25. And those who break the covenant with Allah after it has been firmly made, and sever what Allah has commanded to be joined, and spread corruption [34] in the land—for such people there is a curse, and for them is an evil home (in the Hereafter).

[34] According to the divine practice, here too, along with the people of Paradise, the people of Hell are mentioned, and their qualities are described as being completely opposite to those of the believers. Therefore, their outcome will also be the exact opposite of the people of Paradise. Instead of Paradise, they will be thrown into Hell, and instead of prayers of peace, curses and rebuke will befall them.
