Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

53. And I do not declare myself free from blame, for indeed the soul is ever inclined to evil, except for those upon whom my Lord has mercy [52]. Surely, my Lord is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

The Humility of Sayyiduna Yusuf:

After the public confession of the guilty party and your splendid victory in this case, it was quite possible that, due to human nature, some pride and arrogance might have arisen in your soul. That is why you immediately said that you do not claim that you could never make a mistake; indeed, the soul is always inclined to urge a person towards evil deeds. It is only by the mercy of Allah Almighty that a person is saved from acting upon that evil, and that you were saved only because your Allah, by His mercy and grace, protected you.
