Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
103. And however much you desire [98], most of them are not going to believe.
[98] The disbelievers of Makkah had asked how the Children of Israel, who were settled in the land of Syria, reached Egypt. The detailed answer to this question has come in this story. Now, what should have happened is that they would have believed, but they did not ask the question so that if they received the correct answer, they would immediately believe. Rather, they asked the question so that they might find something that would further increase their distrust and disbelief, and through this, they could also mislead others. Therefore, merely because of your wish, these people will never become believers.
